What is going on is mainly a bunch of uncritical thinking. Australia prepares for America's demise. Why? How many Americans think their country is fading away? What we see is uncritical news consumption. This is stuff the left believes and if anything we know from the past is that the Left is always wrong. They are a negative bunch of people who look to government for all troubles to be solved. Have you noticed how often you see the words "unexpected", "surprised", "puzzled" related to "experts"? Experts surprised at unemployment rate. Experts puzzled by poor economic news. Why, if they are the "experts" are they surprised? Could it be the basic data they use is flawed? Or, as I think, they use only data they believe in. Lefties will not use supply side economic statistics. If they did their conclusions would need to be updated and that is what they will not do. Life inside the bubble will allow news from old reliable sources. It's like Al Gore running around foaming at the mouth about global warming and totally and deliberately ignoring all inconvenient facts to the contrary. What is needed is reporting of all facts, pro and con your position, and let the readers draw their own conclusion. Lefties do not want you to do that – you are a stupid person, overwhelmed by the complexities of modern life and only the self-appointed guardians of the realm can guide you through life's unfairness. Only the self-appointed leaders can get you through the perpetual ongoing "crisis". Forget that they have achieved nothing in their life, accomplished nothing, invented nothing or made life better for others in some way. No, they went to college and received inside information about life that no previous generation knew. All those past generations don't know diddley – it is the modern progressive with their college degrees and insider knowledge that will lead us to the Promised Land.
